Hi, I’m Jevan Thompson—a horror, sci-fi, and fantasy writer based in Derbyshire, UK. I’m drawn to dark, character-driven stories that explore how ordinary people confront extraordinary, often terrifying circumstances. My writing often leans into the gritty and the strange, weaving together suspense, cosmic dread, and emotional depth.

I’ve been telling stories for over sixteen years, and I’m currently working on getting my debut novel published. “The Terrible Tale of the Scarlett Shaw”—a historical horror set in 1802, where a retired naval captain and his crew must survive seven brutal supernatural trials on a mysterious island, or be lost to the Isle of Nowhere forever.

When I’m not writing, you’ll usually find me strumming a guitar, getting lost in tabletop games, or trekking up hills with music in my ears. I’m also a British Army veteran, having served for over eight years, and a qualified Level 2 Canadian ski instructor—because apparently I don’t do anything by halves.
